Clotho: Atropos, I'm done with my intensive scanning as well and my report coincides with Lachesis. No errors on host.
Atropos: Thank you Lachesis, Clotho. I guess he is one of the few.
Atropos: Xanny, we are the Sisters of Fate. You will not remember us, but we will remember you. I am Atropos; Lachesis and Clotho are my two other siblings. You are here because at the time of your untimely death, you had a life essence of 50/50... You've committed the same amount of good and bad deeds in your entire life.
Atropos: From time to time, 0.001% of the entire human population comes someone like yourself. You are a rare breed, Xanny. And because of this anomaly, you will be given another chance. Please do well with the chance we'll give you.
"0.001%!"
Xanny: "And with those words and the warmth of Atropos' kiss, I fell... fell further into my eternal sleep."

I recalled that this drawing of Atropos kissing Xanny was one of the most difficult drawings I’ve ever done. In fact, I skimped on the details on some of the panels on this page just because of how much time commitment I knew I would have to get this one kiss right. As you can imagine judging from the panel size, it’s quite a pivotal part - and had I not continued the story, that would’ve been quite an abrupt conclusion (of course, it doesn’t help that I left it at a cliffhanger at its current state - but “current state” is relative to when this was written, yea? :))
I was trying to get my drawing style down at this point and, despite what people may think, this is the only time I’ve done Xanny’s Curse. There’s a particular site that said that I attempted to do this story three times - which is false. I did it once (and successfully complete it, mind you) when I was 14, and another time when I was 17. Unfortunately, both versions fell into obscurity and the latter fell victim to the craptastic service of Freeservers. The latter version was a full-text version of the storyline, complete with its own unique beginning and end - the only problem was that Freeservers decided to delete my account with no warning whatsoever.
This “retelling” of sorts is the only incomplete retelling of Xanny’s Curse, and the previous versions of Xanny’s Curse are merely icing on the cake that is this site.
I believe that this was the time that I also thought that “Rainy days, never stays” by BuriGuri would be a good theme song for the comic. From this moment forward, I listened to the song constantly so I can get back into the vibe of making the comic.
