Ambulance Driver: Oh my god! He's really DEAD!

Lachesis: Atropos, there are no signs of system anomaly within the host.
Clotho: Same here, Lachesis. Remote scan isn't picking up anything damaged or erroneous.
Atropos: Just to let you know Xanny, we don't usually give many people this opportunity to review their lives... It is just that it has come to our attention that you are a special case... Because you see, you are both eligible to go to both heaven and hell. This is an error. But do not fear, the odds are clearly in your favor right about now.

Seeing this panel brings back memories. Originally, this scene was supposed to have both St. Peter and Satan duking it out for control of your soul. With the very best intentions however, I decided against having any sort of attachment to any kind of religion and used mythological characters to signify Xanny’s passage through the afterlife. I found it best to try and alienate the readers a lot less by making the story of Xanny’s Curse strike a chord to anyone. Anyone and everyone went through puberty - so it’s no surprise that the events following this panel led to where they led. Of course, I won’t ruin the rest for our new readers out there (and you know, there’s been an influx of interest regarding this comic over the past few months)!
Cycle forward to 2007 when Sony releases God of War II with their own rendition of the Sisters of Fate. How close are my Sisters compared to Sony’s? Damn close… except that they each share one wing between each other (and the fact was Clotho was really fat… but I’m not one for details :)). I wanted to really make certain that the sisters were powerless without each other, and since the past cannot exist without the present or future, I felt that this forced cooperation needed to be shown visually. Oh, you didn’t notice that they each only had one wing? Well, now you do!
The somewhat futuristic nature of the Sisters harks back to what Xanny’s Curse originally was: A DragonBallZ rip-off, with its very own Vegeta wannabe (parodied, albeit in a weak manner, by my version of Clotho) . The About page goes into much detail as to who this character was and what happened but in the end I had to rewrite everything all over again in order to make it a lot more interesting than 30 minutes worth of shouting and “charging their Chi.”
Glad to know the web comic is continuing. Over the past year I bought many of my favorite web comics who creators could afford to put into print such as Misfile, Dreamland Chronicles, Lang Lang, El Goonish shive and Sins.
Glad you don’t consider your site dead yet.
